Check out the ASL Counter Mod while I play TOTH Scenario #4

Take a look at how the ASL counter mod by Richie61 looks in Tigers on the Hunt as I play though scenario #4 Counterattack
at Bardenberg. It pits the American's defending a small village against an onslaught of German units. There is one
1 victory location on the map and the unit count is small so its a good beginner scenario for you if your looking
to play a small and quick scenario.

Thanks to Richie61 for this totally kick butt mod. If you really want the feel of pushing those cardboard counters
around you won't find a better mod out there. And it looks and plays like some real ASL thanks to the game engine provided
by Tigers on the Hunt.

Watched most of the video and it was great. I have to ask is the mod only graphical? I doubt the numbers on the ASL counters mean much (at least at this point in development). Again thanks for the video.

Can't post links because I'm apparently too new, but if you search for JSGME in the search above you'll find this post which explains it all with pictures:

Just make sure you're pointing it to your Tigers on the Hunt folder instead of Panzer Command of course. :)

I like the ASL countermod but would prefer it without values. Also, and this might not be doable, but if the vehicles could face their covered arc that would be cool. And it won't screw up my brain when going back to play ASL on VASL.

When I saw the mod I went from sitting on the fence to having to buy the game tomorrow. Then I realised the numbers on the counters would be meaningless so I am back on the fence. No numbers at all would be fine but numbers that have no correlation to the game don't work for me.
I don't care so much that the mod looks like ASL (even though that is nice) - the graphics just look far better. If the game and AI is good and better graphics are provided eventually I will certainly buy it.

I wouldn't say they /totally/ have no correlation. From what I can tell the range matches in game to the ASL counter(s). But I agree, the opaqueness of the engine is in contrast to the explicit values of the ASL counters.

I hope the author reconsiders making some of this information transparent. For instance, TEM is mentioned in the manual, but I have no idea what the values are for terrain. It's hard to gauge success about anything if you are just guessing and have to use trial and error. Can I go by the ASL values for these, or are they different... not sure.

The numbers would work. They are good enough for the TotH system.
