				 [ANSWERED] Mk48 ADCAP MOD/CBASS BOL Launch

				 Forgive me if this is a newbie question, since I am a newbie and picked this game up a few days ago.  I just learned today watching videos that you can do BOL with torpedoes.  I have since tried to do it with my torpedoes and all I see is a message that says: Weapons Release Authorization (WRA): Do not use weapon against this type. Target type: None.  I have set all my WRA to allow maximum range but I don't see anywhere where it says target type is none. 
 
 Is this something we just can not do with the newest version?  
 
 I appreciate any help anyone can give me on this.  It would be nice to do BOL launches with torpedoes.

 Seems to work ok here.
 
 Could you tell me how far your activation point is from the boat.
 
 Do me a favor. Give it a shot (allocate the weapon) regardless of the notice in the allocation dialog and let me know if it fires.

 I think it was the distance, I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing before, when I set up a new scenario I noticed it did work if I launched it a bit closer to my sub rather than far out.  I probably was firing it too far out.  Thank you for that help.

 P.S.
 I think I might still be doing something wrong, I can't control it after firing.  Are they not wire guided?

				 Click on the DB entry link to the torpedo you're firing and where it says guidance type: does it say wire guidance? also under COMMS/DATALINKS does it have torpedo wire? also how many torpedoes are you firing? because for example the Agosta class spanish hunter killer sub has a maximum of 2 torpedo wires which means if you fire 4 torpedoes then you can only guide 2 of them.
 
 If you find they have wire guidance, you need to click on the torpedo and press F2 to adjust speed and F3 to plot its course. I found for adjusting speed you cant set it to the exact speed you want, only the speeds it has listed for its kinematic range. You set the speed using the throttle presets such as cruise and military...hope this helps.

				 I am not sure what happened, my first torpedo wouldn't work like that but the remainder I fired a few moments later worked fine.  I guess I did something wrong.  Thank you all for your help.

 Ugggghhhhh I have been playing Red Dragon the last week or two. Reading the forums there is torture. Not to mention the naval combat in that game is boring AF 
 
 Makes me appreciate the community we have here; you ask a question and you get an answer. People discuss things rationally. It's really very different from any other gaming community I've been a part of.
