First Fire vs Final Fire

During Russian movement phase:
German unit in hex 5,27 FIRST FIRES at Russian in hex 4,29 (distance of 2 hexes)
Same German unit / same movement phase in hex 5,27 FINAL FIRES at another moving Russian in hex 2,29 (distance of 4 hexes)

Is this allowed or is it a "bug"

I believe Final Fire should only be versus adjacent hex.

Do you have a saved game file please ? It will help me a lot to fix the bug, thanks!

Ok great, when I get home from work today I will take a look. The situation you describe in your first post in this thread applies in the saved game file right ?

Yes, actually saved the game before I wrote the first msg.
It was easy to reproduce, as it happened in the first turn of a scenario... just performed the same movement, and the same issue cropped up

BTW - Great effort / Game... enjoying myself

Ok guys, there is nothing wrong here.

Example, a Russian Squad moves into German squad LOS and range (say 3 hexes), the German squad (without First Fire marker) fires at the Russian Squad, the German Squad is now marked with First Fire Marker. Another Russian infantry squad moves into the range (say 2 hexes) and LOS of the German Squad(already has First Fire marker) the German squad can fire again (this is called Subsequent First Fire in ASL), now the German Squad is marked with Final Fire Marker...at this point the German Squad can fire int adjacent hex. I have done some testing and I didn't see a situation where a Squad Marked Final Fire Marker was firing at enemy unit that was not adjacent to the firing unit. I believe that the defensive fire (First Fire, Subsequent First Fire, Final Fire) it's working as it should.

Cheers!

In ASL, Subsequent First Fire has to be at a moving unit which is the closest in normal range. In my example the German unit was SFF at a squad which was moving further away than the enemy unit originally fired upon. In ASL. even a "broken" unit, which is closer to the Defensive Firing unit, prevents SFF at an enemy further away.

Sure, but Tigers on the Hunt is not ASL...it's inspired by ASL :)
