The specs call for a 3GHz CPU on a Windows 7 64 bit OS. I have an I7 Quad Core 860 2.8GHz 8mb 95w CPU.
Will this game play ok?

Yes, it should run fine. The 3 GHz spec is mostly to provide a caution about significantly older CPUs running a 64-bit OS.
