Cards Questions

1) Can I discard cards I'm not going to use?
2) To create North Italy (or whatever it's called) the card says I need an army in each region. Do I need to place an army in a region if it already belongs to France?
3) When I have too many cards, I will get a pop-up telling me to play a card or forfeit. When I win a battle I will get a card no matter what, even if I have too many I do not forfeit the card. Is this WAD?
4) Are used cards reshuffled immediately?

1. Not currently, but I think that we're going to add this feature soon.
2. No. The regions that already belong to France do not need to be occupied by troops.
3. When you win a battle you will still get the cards.
4. Used cards go in the 'discard' pile and are not brought back into the game.

it's annoying to have to forfeit cards, but not being able to influence those you lose is even worse. I would like to see a discard feature.

The French have never lost a battle (1805 campaign). It lost the side-show in Irland, but that should not really count IMO.
It is impossible to win that one and there was only one French unit involved.
This turn the Allies used several attrition cards that reduced two French armies by 5 units.
Then they play the Treason card...
It looks like the game treats the 5 units lost by attrition as lost in battle (unless the luck of the Irish is counted).
Napoleon thinks it is unfair as he while is well on his way to beat the Russians in the next battle, he is promptly returned to Paris.

You make good points and suggestions. +1

The Horse Artillery card needs to convert 2 artillery units to work.
If you've got only 1 artillery unit, it looks like this is updated. But the lack of a second artillery unit means the first conversion is cancelled. At least you get to keep the card.
I think you should be able to spend the card on only one unit.
