Numerous times tonight I used a machine gun to fire and got a message stating whether I wanted to keep ROF or
put down residual fire. I always choose keeping ROF. Each time I kept the rate of fire but residual fire was left
in the hex anyway. Sorry no saves. Will try to remember to save the next time.

Did you fire with Infantry as well from the MG hex? If so they will leave Residual Fire

I will have to look at that more carefully. That might have been what happened.
