So ive entered the phase where I need to start going after v weapons and am looking for some advice.
Historically, did the allies use strategic bombers to go after these things? If so should I be bombing them from 30000 feet?
Maybe tactical or fighter bombers are better for this?

I usually use only twin engine bombers for going after the launch sites around Dunkirk-Calais area...and Cherbourg.
They can get the job done, and don't have to (usually) be escorted. The fighter bombers are best at interdiction, and the strat bombers are best at bombing Germany.

I recall reading here if you bomb them in '43 you won't get VP's,but they will count in '44?You can destroy them earlier and get the points after?

yes, start going after them mid-December. that way some will already be damaged by the time you get into January 1944

Probably. But if you know the rules state that you will start to lose point in 1944 then why wouldn't you take steps to prevent it.

No,you still lose points for not bombing the U boats,so it is the player's choice to redirect the target's,just as the EF box choice's made by the Axis can affect different area's.

Not at all, you should be bombing them in late 1943, otherwise you'll lose a pile of points in the first turn of 1944.
The V-Launch sites are Cherbourg, The Hague, and a bunch of sites in Pas de Calais. These are all pretty easy to bomb.
The V-Wep sites are harder; the biggest cluster is along the Baltic coast N. of Berlin. There is another large site in Braunschweig, and another south of there (Nordhausen?). Everything else is level 2 and very spread out. The size-2 sites I only bomb if I happen to be bombing something else there anyway.
