ctd - every two or three turns

Hi,
I am experiencing a CTD usually at the end or sometimes in the middle of the GC every few turns. Please find attached my dxdiag, the main.txt and the save in rar format. It is becoming really annoying. I have latest beta patch, latest Nvidia drivers, the game is located in the c:\matrix\won folder (but the saves are in My Documents folder). Etc.

same O/S as me and also same video card and driver on one of my test pc's, so something is a miss as mine works fine,

Free Space: 13.0 GB low, as depending on page file, swap and temp directory etc, windows 10 does like space

Windows Defender error's in log file, so as long as this is your main AV program?

for me add the game to the safe list,

Code: Select all

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/add-or-remove-items-from-the-windows-defender-allowed-list

Problem signature:

P1: x64

P2: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10DE&DEV_0072&SUBSYS_145836C1&REV_1001 (meaning maybe a plug a play driver is missing or not 64 bit compatible) and tbh very few game errors, mostly windows one

add the exe of the game to your Anti Virus and firewall program, to make sure check the logs of these to see if it was one if any of them was to blame.

That usually means a 3rd party program, like an Internet security programs, is or could be interfering with the game or update installation.

run the game from a admin account and use full admin permissions.

please make sure all game pre requisite are installed with the game, even if you think or fully know there are already installed, it will only over write, and it may be that you have a older or newer version of these where as the game in question may need a certain version.

please make sure you are running the latest game version and have up to date drivers installed on your pc,

Hi
I think I fixed it - I uninstalled and reinstalled on a different physical drive (a SATA drive in place of the SSD), added it as an exception in both Windows Defender and the Firewall, and have played over several hours now and not one CTD. Oh, I also updated my audio drivers from the MB website. Thanks for the advice.
