game loads but when play is selected nothing happens. click on game manual or check for update and they work.

I'm having th same problem. I'm running Windows 10

Tried the suggested solution of changing the compatibility to Windows 7 ( as suggested in the forum) - no luck, re-installed the game- if anything it's worse. Have loaded the game onto a laptop running an earlier versions Windows - it works there but I really want to run the game on a larger system and monitor.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

same here I was running on a old dell with not 1/2 the specs the new "gaming' computer has and will not even get pat the start screen Talk about being frustrated I saved for months just to get this computer for this type of games bought the game when was on sale tried it for heck of it and was playing all sorts of mods

Unfortunately it hasn't helped. I've tried running in Windows 7 compatability & also re-installing.

You did set the compatability mode for SOWGB.exe or the autorun.exe?
If SOWGB.exe, then right click on it and select "Run as Administrator" - worth a try.

Hi, I bought this game 9/5/2012 and have tried running it on 4 different computers with 3 different OS and have always gotten the "stopped working" when selecting play. The demo ran fine. I've tried every solution I could find. Present machine uses windows 10 (Which I don't really like but it is a brand new computer and it came with it)

Thanks Floyd - I gave that a run - no luck. I can still play on my laptop (which runs Windows 7) but the screen size is smaller. Better than nothing

have asked for game access to do a guide for you all, hopefully if permission is given it won't be long and i'll help on the install and running issues with a picture guide if this helps

Hi, My original download was from Norbsoft with the Matrix update. I will try to reinstall totally from Matrix. But I cannot find alink to do anything other then the update.

Hi, If you uninstall the game. And just install the Matrix update alone. The game works once. Then you get a bunch of red lines.
But the first time loaded everything was there.
Next I set compatabilty to vista and run as admin and checked the disable display and the game runs. A last (I,m running windows 10)
