I'm a french long time veteran player with the Campaign Series since Talonsoft's version series.

I've recently bought the new version of "Divided Ground" called "Middle East...".

There are great improvements in it but i found some stuff really disappointed.

1) Pics from the units in the F2 unit dialog are missing.
2) Pics from the scenario menu are missing too.
3) Graphics for some units and info boxes are sometimes disappointing.
It looks like a "mod" and not like a "real" Matrix product like the new version of John Tiller's CS from Matrix .
Looks like the old mod for Talonsoft's version called "Army transfer stuff".
4) The lacks of scenarios from "Divided Ground".

Well, i love this serie but with this new game version i'm not really 100% satisfied.

May be, it will be available in a future update ?

First, thank you for your support. It is truly appreciated.

Some responses to your questions/notes:

1) Pics from the units in the F2 unit dialog are missing.

They aren't missing, they actually were not included. Due to the legal, copyright and cost issues, the F2 images where left as generic country images. I could not find any reference where the original images came from, so they weren't included.

Of course, if someone wanted to go through and create an unofficial mod that has vehicles in place of the current graphics, all the power to them. I certainly wouldn't complain.

2) Pics from the scenario menu are missing too.

Pictures for the scenario menu have been changed to a map, showing you where the battle took place.

3) Graphics for some units and info boxes are sometimes disappointing.

Each and every unit was redone (Up to the 1.02 BETA UPDATE) . Which units in particular are you having an issue with? Maybe the graphics guys can revise them for you.

4) The lacks of scenarios from "Divided Ground".

The Divided Ground scenarios were scrapped.

We do include the full suite of map, oob and scenario editors though so you can recreate them at your leisure.

Well, i love this serie but with this new game version i'm not really 100% satisfied.

Keep in mind that this is a living game. The version you purchased will not be the final version. As we improve the game, you will also be able to receive those improvements via UPDATES.

Our next UPDATE, the 1.02 UPDATE, will be available in the coming months.

Thank you very much for taking time to answer my questions.
I was not aware of Legal and Technical constraints.
I well understand it but i'm a bit surprised because the Matrix campaign series (JTCS) version seems to have not these issues.
Really hope that the next level of update will be cool for this still living game/serie.

The original Matrix CS was released under different legal obligations (back in 2007). With Slitherine in the picture, potential legal conflicts are far more scrutinized and have to be dealt with accordingly.
