Can't see artillery fire by AI

I am unable to see artillery fire from the AI because my screen doesn't scroll to where it's falling. It locks so I can't scroll myself nor does it automatically go there. Is this WAD?
This also happens when AI routes, Although I can scroll to find unit.
And playing on very hard, the computer seems to take a long time to fire (all kinds), so that the unit the computer is DF at as I move it, disappears from thee screen, and a good 3 or 4 seconds later the MG fire comes. Does this happen to anyone else? I hear the sound first of the AFV being destroyed and the wreck appears, then the enemy weapon fires. I've been going back and forth between two mods, and I see it happen on both. I really haven't used the original counters, so I wondered if it was happening to others?

Thank you. I started the 006 scenario again as the Russians, with the Germans AI, and am using a different counter mod, and it is working much better. It takes some time for the AI to start each phase, but I think it might be due to the size of the scenario (in units-both to fire from and to fire at). I am playing on very hard.
