clean windows 10 home 64bit test pc, downloaded installation files and latest game update



right clicked on setup version 100DR and run as admin

left everything on default and just pressed next / continue to every box, added name and serial when asked

setup when ended thrown up a error once installation was complete




but carried on with test as i need to load the update as well before testing installation

ran update for game, version 105 again run as admin

one complete, shortcut has been made on the desktop, which hasn't been altered by me in anyway, left for now on default




clicked on it and game loaded, without any other problems

went into settings to see what was there, it has already setup the game for my pc by default

started a level of the game and played a few rounds / turns



only problem noticed so far is the game doesn't like Alt Tabbing in and out, but will see if running as admin from the shortcut fixes that. no big deal

pc setup used in test




as WITW was already on this test pc, game didn't run any other files, and i haven't needed to, pc has only default programs pre installed plus a odd apps for testing shown, plus WITW installed 3 files, 2 shown other one is Direct X 9 etc

now testing for issue with Alt tabbing, so right click on the desktop shortcut and run as admin on the box shown, tick it etc

so it's find shortcut, right click properties

left click advanced



then put a tick in the box shown above in picture in post 9 and click ok, then apply and then ok and your done

if it doesn't work for you, then uninstall it, and making sure the default installation folder is totally gone, and then reinstall and follow this guide.

each game from this site comes with the default installation files needed to run the game for that version




adding the advanced item above to the shortcut to the default desktop shortcut link now makes the game Alt tab in and out like any other windows program, so works well with only a few added alteration to the default install.

click next and let it do it's thing

to check folder go to default install location



and delete folder on last few files left over from the game install

and it's done and system's clean



ready now to be reinstalled and set up correctly[&o]

(i use ccleaner to clear the left over registry files, your choice to use a different program or not)
