If he didn't hire another programmer it wouldn't make any difference.
I would prefer to contribute by buying modules/expansions. But will not do so if multi-level buildings don't get added in the first one. The system already does blind hex calculations and LOS down to the pixel level. Plus you have a box for organizing units that are the different levels (so much easier than counters). Multi-level buildings are important in WW II as observation points etc.
