A German squad started the movement phase in the hex with thee yellow circle. It moved into the hex with the AFV and was DF fired upon by the Russian squad and leader in the NE stone building.It survived the DF fire and moved into the red circle hex, where the SAME Russian squad DF again (no SWs) and KIA it. How is this possible? It did not move adjacent to the enemy squad?

It first made a Defensive first fire in the AFV hex, then a Subsequent Fire in the red-circled hex. If your squad survived and entered the adjacent hex, the Russian squad could have fired a third time (also taking a MC).

OK. Thanks UP844. Didn't know that. I played the original SL but not ASL. Thought once the unit DF I could move closer, as long as not adjacent. I should really read the manual. [8|]
