Using Withdraw & Redeploy for land units

I did some searching on the forum about the Withdraw & Redeploy function and have a question. Does it work for land units (like tanks etc?). The Doctrine Function says (Ships/Subs/Land), but what type of grouped facility do I need for an ammo source for a tank or other mobile land unit (ammo dump with appropriate munitions grouped with something else?).

Thanks for any help.

Currently you can't assign a land unit to a base.

Attached is sample scenario where there are a couple of land units and an ammo bunker grouped together.
When the units run low on ammo, it is drawn from the ammo bunker.
The 2 units start off with some ammo missing and you can see it fill them out immediately - use 1 sec play.

Michael, thanks for the response and the test scenario.

I do see what you mean. The ammo dump sort of "teleports" ammo to the units they are grouped with and the reload is instantaneous. The units never really have to withdraw to the ammo point.

Thanks!

Yes when designed it was to reload SAM batteries etc.

Land combat hasn't really been addressed yet and won't be for some time. Anything you have now was just us trying to get stuff in place to help model certain things.
