I have been following this game for a long time but I am still concerned that it is still too buggy to purchase. The 30% D-Day30 coupon includes this game. Is it safe to buy at this point?

I am a single person player.

Right now, the two major features unfinished in the game are: NetPlay and AI.

Solitary game (playing by yourself) works quite well. I don't find bugs in my games, although I read in the forum some people do. If you read the bugs reports, most of them are quite obscure and particular bugs like "when Vichy is created, I have problems with italian units entering in french colonies that are part of Free France" kind of things. I recommend that you take a look at the last patch's log, to see what kind of things were fixed, to understand what I mean.

Besides that, the game is complex. This meaning that you will take some months to learn how to play and, by that time, the program would have improved.

I am trying to be objective. On the personal non-objective side, MWiF is the best wargame I have ever played, even if it's not completed right now. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in grand strategy complex wargames. Probably, the best in the market.

That's good news to me. I understand about the bug reports, I have read many and like always, not game stoppers or even applicable to most players if any. I planned on playing the Solitaire mode but I did read that the AI works but not for advanced players. That would work for me since I would be a novice for quite some time. Thank you for your reply. I've now played it enough times solo to be happy that I can get along without it failing constantly. Recent patches have made a big difference IMO.
For me the only downside currently is that the Europe only or Pacific only games are not live yet so you have to play Global War & solo it can take a long time.

Do you play the AI at all yet? Nevermind, I bought the game and I see that the AI option has been removed.

There is no AI currently LarryP.

You can play Barbarossa and Guadalcanal scenarios for shorter games (all about land and naval combat respectively). For the whole of the game, you should go Global War, as "only Europe" and "only Pacific" scenarios are not ready yet.

AI was not removed, it has yet to be offered.

I have seen the AI option in pictures. I guess it was promotional.
