First off, the switches are very precise in that the spelling must be absolutely correct. "-F" is not correct IIRC, it would be "-f". In that vein, do not copy/paste switches from the manual, because the "-" character they use there is not the actual dash ("-"), it is a slightly different character designed to make the PDF look better. Type the switches, or at least the dashes, in by hand.
Another thing is that while opinions vary about Windows 7 versus Windows 10, there is (to the best of my knowledge) universal agreement that Windows 10 is much better than Windows 8.1. Recommend you upgrade to W10 ASAP, especially while it is free to do so.
Have a look through this tech support section and you will find a number of threads about switches that might help. First you might try adding the "-deepColor" switch. That one often makes a big difference.
