Extremely slow game and menu

Hi,

I have extremely slow in-game menu (like esc menu and "anything clickable" while in-game) and the game itself is working like it's on 1 FPS, frame by frame. I know this is not normal.

I have DX11 and i've uploaded my DxDiag.
I run on parallels on mac on El Capitan.
I don't have any issues with any PC games, my computer runs them perfectly.

At another post i read that i have to have Dx9c as well. I tried to install it but it looks like i still have the Dx11 version.
I tried to run as admin for the game and for the DXSETUP as well.

Thanks in advance!

Contact Matrix/Sliterine support. They should have the tools to check your DxDiag.

Visits to this forum is somewhat random :(

Hello Menhus,

I'm sorry you are having problems with the game, however unfortuantely we don't support Parallels or other virtual software, so we are not able to help. We can only support a native Windows system for Distant Worlds Universe.

Most Mac users who want to play games use Bootcamp which does perform better, as it at least uses a full version of Windows in a separate boot partition. This issue is something to do with the processing virtualisation or the graphic adapter which Parallels uses not correctly rendering, but as we do not use Parallels so I don't know what options you can configure to get this working. Unfortunately you'll need to ask other Parallels users if they know how to get this working.

you have little ram on the spec given as well for video, dedi ram is quicker and better than shared system ram, using shared not only slows down the CPU, but also gives less for the system to work with i'm sorry to say...

Display Memory: 1024 MB
Dedicated Memory: 512 MB
Shared Memory: 512 MB
