Loadscreens?

Hello..A number of years ago some of our older friends created some mod "loadscreens" for WITP which also work with WITP AE.
With newer computers in my life I have lost the originals.
I did find many on Spooky's site but not the ones I had been using.
I am seeking the ones which were maybe 5 or 6 color photos of Allied ships.
I still retain one of the pics from the entire set, which portrays what may be a Tennessee class BB being refueled.
Other pics from that series included a great shot of different sized American BB's and flat-tops from the side, taken from another ship.
The artist may have been Tom Label, I don't remember for certain.....[&:]

Are these the ones you are talking about? They are the only ones I can still find. I thought I had some others, but....[&:]
EDIT: I tried to attach individual zips, but files are too large. PM your email and I will send them to you.

1024 is the background for my desktop. LOVE that painting of Arizona. If I could find it, I would buy it.

Are there any size / format restrictions for alternate load screen's ?
I ran across a blog/website by a Japanese fellow who had "colorized" a boatload of pic's ... mostly ships, mostly 1900 forward ....
multiple navies ....

I found another of the pics from Tom's original screen packets but I don't have a clue how to post it here in the forum as an "attachment"..I know how to post pics but the screen itself just gives the "file too large" message.
Also did not accept zip.

I've an old one for Japanese players, no memory about where I downloaded it, so I upped it as .zip file at Zippyshare. Just downolad and extract, then place the file OpenLoadScreen_1024.bmp in the ART folder (overwrite original file or made a backup it's your choise). It looks like:
And there's the link to the .zip for who's interested:

How did you merge your original photo files with the "Loading" sign and the empty task bar ?

Oh my, this has been so long ago, but what I did was to take a Start and Open screens into Corel and basically blank out/delete the image around the status bar and text. This was to ensure I retained the correct spacing. Didn't take that long. Then I found the image I wanted to use and re-sized it appropriately for the game. I then took the blank Start or Open screens I created, copied them (the whole image - important for the red bar to align!!)as a transparent image over the picture I wanted to use in the screen.
I remember at first I had trouble with the status bar not allowing the red to show, but fixed that (but how - I do not remember).
There may be an easier way to do this these days, as I did these almost 8 years ago.
If you PM your email, I'd be happy to send them to you.

This morning I have received the great screens from Tom Label!..(I also sent you an exemplar of that John Wayne screen which I THINK you created..
With so many fans of WITP AE and a prolification of folks who have learned to mod with confidence...it might be time to see more folks creating mods again in art.?

It's just been my observation that games like WITP attract a lot more than "your average bear" in way of a fanbase and we are going to remember really quality folks like yourself who contribute to our pleasures and go way above and beyond...even so far as to remember those contributors years later.[&o]
