Hello everyone and thank you for volunteering to take part in the Strategic Command beta test

We hope you will enjoy the game, trying both sides and experimenting with various strategies

With only a few weeks before release (as I write this on October 21) we would especially appreciate feedback on:

- Any bugs or errors you encounter
- Game balance

Should you encounter an error typically what will happen is a dialog screen will pop up with information on the
crash.

If it is possible to receive the following it would be fantastic and really help us track things down :)

1) Screenshot of the error screen.

2) The contents of the ERROR folder that is generated in your Users\<your name>\My Documents\My Games\Strategic Command - WWII War in Europe\ERROR folder.

3) Steps to reproduce the error and any information on whether it was repeatable or not.

Please send to hcater@furysoftware.com,

You can take screenshots using F12, by default these will be saved to:
Users\<your name>\My Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War in Europe\Screenshots

We look forward to hearing from you

Kind regards
Ben Wilkins

Oh heck, please hurry up!!! I'll be leaving the 27th until next month and won't be able to provide any feedback [:@]
Well with a bit of luck it won't be released in just a month time[:)] and I'll be able to give my two cents.
Really looking forward to SC3.

Should all suggestions be posted on the forum? I just sent a PM but not sure if that's the best way. It was regarding event triggers

In order to save time and reduce potential frustration, could Hubert and/or Bill post a list of things that are not on the table for changing?

Can any parts of the map be redrawn or is it set in stone?

Can you redo any of the artwork, or are you over budget?

Can any part of the graphics engine be adjusted in any way?

Definitely post here in the forums as this way everyone will have a chance to see the questions and answers and we can avoid duplication and overlap.

In terms of what is likely to change or already set in stone, I think it is safe to say that not much will be changing or is planned to be changed at this point. There are still items on our own internal list that we need to get to, but in order to stay on schedule we need to keep changes to a minimum.

However, one area that likely will be changing, or updated and improved as we near release is the interface implementation. We want to make sure that we get this right and there are a number of tweaks we already have planned to improve on the final look and feel. Even here it is not necessarily wholesale changes that would require engine and major coding changes, but rather to ensure the game is as intuitive and easily accessible as possible.

But that being said, definitely feel free to post any suggestions you feel would be applicable (you never know what might catch our eye) and we'll try out best to address and answer as much as possible... but the main priorities for us at this point are essentially what Ben has outlined in the top post above and hopefully that puts us all on the same page.

Essentially we are mostly interested in numbers 1-5 as listed above and only because we are on a timeline at this point.

Hope this helps!
Hubert
