Installed the new map. Have one observation.
I do not know if it is only me, but I find green dots (they represent bases) mingling with bright grey colour of the continents. The green dots are too small to be clearly visible on the bight drabs of bright grey. Maybe the dark grey colour could be used for the continents and even a darker grey for the seas? Just a thought.
EDIT: How about black seas and dark grey continents? Small color icons will standout against the two.
EDIT II:Just tried - black is too heavy. Dark and darker grey look OK though.

Plan to do any variation on the monotone grey theme? Not saying that I would use something different, but just wondering. I like the simplicity and think you made the right decision as it is definitely clearer. One other question, is it possible to make the map bigger? (I assume not since it has to line up with the dots).

Monochrome, yes, that's what I meant. [:D]
Both look awesome and I will definitely be using. Thanks! [&o][&o]

Thanks chemkid. I love your maps and use them.
Just for fun, I wonder if you could do a pop-up that shows the calendar year. ?
I found a calendar on the net that showed the phases of the moon.
It seemed to correspond to the phases of the moon in the game.
I wonder if the designers used the historical phases of the moon in the game. ?

You have room on the Operations report.
You could do one screen for each year and switch out in game year by year.
I don't have copyright permission to use this calendar from timeanddate
and they are strict about their copyrights.

but all in all, lots of files to exchange manually while playing. tbh, a real chore don't you think?!
i'd better stick with a seperate browser window while planning my attacks.
JSGME has a command line interface and could be used as the basis of a script that would swap out files automatically. Run it before you play the turn and it would set everything up for you.
The issue would be how to extract the game date. I'm not sure how WITP Tracker does this from the saved game file but this extracted date could be used as a parameter for a JSGME script which could be used to swap out (based on date) all manner of files such as pwhexe.dat as well as graphic (and calendar picture) files.
Would even allow you to add seasonal maps and construction of Burma road and Alcan highway if the data files are set up appropriately. (That would make el sid happy).
Just musing..... [8|]

Thanks chemkid,
Looks like plenty of room for my sweater girl collection.
Only thing I miss about the 1960’s are the women’s fashions.
They wore nice skirts and dresses, plenty of legs and they smelled good too.
Nice perfume. ……Soft voices.
I go into Walmart now and some women have metal sticking out of their faces and
Most of them look and talk like the front line of the Green Bay Packers.
But……then again………..I’m no Steve McQueen myself.
