Tried assaulting budapest scenario again as Egyptian. This time no CTD, but during all of the AI turns the screen would black out whenever enemy units were supposed to be moving. Is this normal?

Also, am I supposed to be able to see enemy arty markers on the turn before they arrive? I haven't played in several months, but don't remember seeing this before; as it is, I can move my units out from under impending enemy arty attacks, seems a bit odd...

Hmm, sounds odd indeed, none of that sounds like normal play.

Any chance you could post your save files and let me know which options you're using?

I don't think I have any save files but can fire it up again and see what happens. Before I go into the game again, should I send any log files from the last game? IIRC, during the previous game (the one that CTD'd when I played as Israeli vs the Egyptian AI), I think I could also see enemy arty markers. Also, I didn't change any options from default. I am playing in 3d mode and am also using the "frosted arty crosshair" mod that was created several months ago. I haven't checked to see if these issues arise during 2D play.

Delete all the log files before you go into the game.

Start it up and then take note of the log files after. Save the game at the same time.

Note sure that I understand you--I downloaded 1.02 and installed it over 1.01. What was I supposed to do? Will try to do the other things later today.

Good morning 76mm, yes, that's it, nothing more to it. You had deactivated all your mods first, that the only thing?

I've not seen bug reports like yours before. If it indeed continues, I'd suggest an uninstall, then install from disc (or original 1.00 download), then run 1.02 installer. Then at least we know there's a clean install in place.

Yes, I'd deactivated all my mods. I just tried this scenario again, and no black screen, but I can still see enemy arty markers. I can upload screenshots, log files, and/or a save game.

OK, please do, I'll have a look at it. What's your setup again, and which operating system?

This only happens if, at scenario's beginning at the A/I Selection dialog, you choose the enemy Computer (no FOW) option. If you choose Computer with FOW, the arty strike crosshair markers will remain hidden. WAD.
