RJH first impressions

Well it is now installed and running as smooth as it can be.
For those of us who have played the previous SC games, the initial UI screens are very familiar. It does change once you start playing the game.

What has struck me so far:

I could not find how to undo the units movement if no enemy units are found. I have the undo option selected.
Scrolling of the map is pretty fast and smooth, but if names disappear due to scrolling there is small lag before they show back.
Unit's strength numbers are smaller compared to previous games (3D), average age of gamers I'd dare to say os above 40 and you know what happens to your eyesight...
Music now plays while the game is being played, good to have it as an option.
It took 3 and half minute to the AI to play its first turn.
Why do some units appear with the round base under them when that option is disabled, bug? Ok I found it those are the units with no more AP left, easy then to identify which units are still left to be moved.

My feelings about the map and units:
I think AoD, AoC and the previous games had maps with brighter colours which I liked more, but everyone here will have its own opinion.
Same goes for the units, I think they were more defined and clear to spot in the previous titles.
Though many people have complained about tiles I got used to them and short of like them, you had 8 sides to attack from, but hexes are nonetheless welcome back.

I was writing as I was playing when the game had a CTD, it occurred after air bombing a unit in a city, it got shattered and so did the game, nuisances of beta testing LOL. I'll take a look into the error folder and report.

I don't see the NM of the enemy is this WAD?
Also I don't know what the national morale bar refers to, is it already implemented or pending.

The old UI screens will change over time. They are just placeholders.

CTRL Z

They are invisible as the upper part of the UI is in it's spot atm i believe.

This is due to the way the map is rendered by the engine. It's a huge task to change that.
Hubert promised to look at it in the future. But it's not on the short-term list.
