not enough strikes for air units?

I find in both my invasion of Poland and now of France and the Low Countries, that I cannot use air units for recon. That uses all my strikes. I believe recon planes should be added to the game, OR the air units should be given a recon strike capability, OR simply an additional strike that somehow could be restricted to recon.
I should add that it is impossible currently to setup any kind of coastal air capability against the enemy navy. Using the air units' strike for recon means they cannot be used to hit any ships found.

On a side note, does recon flights are subject to interception by enemy fighters?

Yes, and that adds another issue. Players could just do recons to use up the intercepts from the enemy fighters.
The following bombers would have free reign to bomb. Perhaps recons could be made non-interceptable?
During the war they stripped regular combat airplanes from nearly all armament i believe to fit camera's, extra fuel and make them faster.

Or add more intercept strikes to the fighters?
