During my testing, I have only now gotten into mid 1941 - this time as the Allies. By this time in the game, the immersion level is becoming really deep, with all the possible upgrades beginning to come on line, the expansion of the sea war, the many scenario events adding historical flavor.

I'm playing expert level, with +2 experience to the Axis AI, and frankly I'm losing the sea war. I'm used to other WW2 games, where the sea war takes a back seat, and I haven't bothered to build any UK ships. As a result I'm really lacking in destroyers, and the aggressive and powerful AI navies are htting me hard. At this difficulty level, enemy destroyers and cruisers are able to seriously hurt my battleships. Perhaps not all that realistic, but its making for some tense gameplay.

Best of all, the land and air AI are quite competent on offense. Other games, defense is the AI forte, and offense is problematic. Not so with SC3.

Glad to hear it and glad you are enjoying the AI... we put a lot of time and effort into the AI to ensure it was as effective as possible in not only defense but offense as well, so it is nice to hear this confirmed and much appreciated [8D]
