Narvik no adjacent sea zone

When attempting to do shore bombardment at Narvik, I could not move my ships adjacent to it. Just wondering if that was by design or a map mistake.

Hi

It was just the consequence, not necessarily by design, of trying to get the coastline and landmass looking right.

Looking at it again, the only way we could have it bombardable would be to have hex 180,18 to the NW of Narvik turned into a sea hex.

This might work, I'll add it to my list to consider but it won't be in the next build.

Thanks

Bill

Making it bombardable may make it too easy for the Allies to capture it with Special Forces. I don't know if that is desirable either. Above my pay grade!

That's a good point actually.

It's too difficult for the SF to capture the town now as it is. Having it bombardable would actually help.

I don't believe that Narvik should be extremly hard to conquer.
The Allies did it, the Germans did it, why shouldn't the players be able to do so.

Holding Narvik should be difficult. If the Allies conquet, the German player can bring in an HQ, a tac air, and some more helü to kick them out.
Which woudn't even be a problem if Norway would have to be conquered. In this case the necessary forces would already be in Norway.
Sounds pretty historical to me.

You could create a DE for the German player, like move a DD or CA to receive a german unit near Narvik. Battle on!
