So far I've not been able to damage a port/city with my battleships, but my battleships take damage in return. Also German infantry are able to attack my battleships that are nearby. Is this part still in development or am I not understanding how this works? Is the ability of infantry to attack Battleships an abstraction the game makes to simulate something? Otherwise it doesn't seem like they should be able to.

You taken damage represents coastal defense works like sea mines, gun batteries, small warships etc.

Infantry can only attack ships in port, not those at sea.
