I mean without using the script. Is it a 'simple' matter of taking Oslo?
I'll try it next time I start a new game, but just wondered.

I have not tried that yet.

Taking Oslo will see Norway surrender either immediately or very shortly after.
Paratroops taking off from northern Denmark can probably do it, with other units on stand by to be transported to Norway to protect it from any Allied countermeasures, or to ensure success if the initial assault on Oslo doesn't succeed (in which case a unit in an Amphibious Transport would be required).

I only took it manually in SC 2: AOD, not in this game. But a Paratrooper, a stuka, and 1 infantry corps usually secured Norway for me in SC 2.

In SC2 i used a bomber, paratrooper, and a corpse invading by sea. Usually it felt by the first turn of the attack, ore the second. I placed a HQ in Denmark in order to get supply fore the bomber.

It´s easy ( with paratroopers) but you´ll lose the free units of the script
