Unit Morale

Can my (non-AI) units have greater than 100% morale?

I think it's the first time I have noticed but one of my fighter groups has a morale of 109%.

Yes, and over 100% readiness also. I think up to 150%.

Seems a little silly to me. How can you have more than 100%? Maybe a cap of 100% should be placed on them?

I absolutely agree. Never liked it in the predecessor too.

100% should be the max.

If necessary, the AI (which probably always need these high values) should get more often a little refreshment for the percantage value, but never above 100%. Always feels and looks like a broken program code.

I vote to have morale and readiness capped at 100% for human players. For the AI on higher difficulty settings morale and readiness higher than 100% is OK.

Well, as it is now 100% is Normal and 150% is High. If you cap it at 100, then the new Normal will be 66% and the new High will be 100%. I think that would be more unappealing. I like it the way it is.

I think sPzAbt653 is right, as there should be times when unit morale is very high, the one criteria being how long the effect lasts and how decisive its impact is on the game.

In that vein, we have periodically reviewed the upper limits of this and brought them down.

As to a figure being above 100%, it's probably best to understand it as a level or rating.
