TO be able to select a range when units are screening. Always seems silly to me when a HMMV with a MaDeuce sees a MRR regiment coming down the road and says, "Hey, lets let these guys get to within a klick or so before we bug out".

Being able to have some control over both standoff and engagement ranges is part of the overhaul planned for orders in the Southern Storm game engine. Plus a few other options as well.
