Funny, while playing against the German AI Eben-emael never fell because of an airborne attack. AI seems to prefer "traditional" land warfare.

Playing Germany against the AI, the pop up announcing the fall of Eben Emael always rises after attacking and taking it.
I wonder if the fortification would be destroyed the next turn if it was not attacked.

Yes, when Belgium surrenders it should automatically disappear even if it isn't taken by combat during the Axis offensive - not that I can imagine the Belgians just evacuating it without a fight, or even being given the option to do so.
