Just got this, great game.
A quick question. If I have a brigade on a road, how do I issue a command to the units so that they all follow the lead unit/commander?

if you give the road march to the brigade officer and all the brigade is already in movement, it will be taken also from all the subunits, but no enemy must be in the field of view.

If I have all my units strung out on a road and proceed as you have stated, then when they reached their destination they deploy into march column side by side coming off the road in the process. what I want to do is to say to my commander I want you and all your guys to march in march column along the road in the order you currently are and when the lead unit reaches the destination for you all to stop. A bit like what the A.I. does. Is there a way of doing this without having to man manage each individual unit?

I suppose a way to do this is that when you have your troops on the road as you wish, issue a road movement order by the commander, and before the troops arrive, issue another road move order before they deploy side by side in march column formation.
It would be cool if there was as an order button to issue a road order move and for the troops to march of one after the other forming a road column and to all stop on the road once the lead unit reached its destination.

The units always at the end of path move to assume the destination point according to the current brigade formation

You can hit the "hand" button which is a "halt at once in place" order (issue this with the brigade commander selected) and all battalions or cavalry squadrons in his command will instantly halt where they are and in the formation they are in. Its a good way to pause road march columns until you need them to move off again.
