Gibraltar

I have been trying to send my Italian ships past Gibraltar using the loops for several months now.

I understand the random % chance of success but the popup should give some mention of this. In fact the popup needs to be "fleshed out" a bit more.

Maybe:

"The Guns of Gibraltar guard the straits so our passage through is not guaranteed,...."

Hi David

Can you explain a bit more what is happening, or not happening?

It may be that there is an issue I'm not aware of.

Thanks

Bill

Sorry for confusing.

I have my Italian ships on the two loop hexes by Gibraltar and I get the DE to send them through and say YES. They went through the first time but have not in the several turns since so I assumed that there was a % chance of success and I was just being unlucky?

I thought that if this was the case you could add something to the DE popup to mention that there is only a chance of success each turn.

I see. They should be going through, do they disappear at the end of your turn and reappear a turn or two later?

If so then it might be that all the destination hexes are occupied (this can be checked by turning Fog of War off and having a sneak peak at the AI's positions). I could then solve that by adding some more destination hexes.

If they don't even disappear then there might be a different problem.

Please let me know either way.

The units are not disappearing and re-appearing. They just sit there. The script moved them only once, the first time I put them on the hexes.

Also, I think Gibraltar should be a NM objective for the UK.

I agree, and thanks for the further information on the loop, I'll get investigating. [:)]
