Most HARMLESS weapons?

Okay, so you have just successfully scanned your opponent, or (s)he has opened fire on you to reveal its weaponry. What is/are the weapon(s) that make you LEAST afraid of things to come?

For me it's things like AC4 or SRMs. They just can't inflict damage fast enough for it to make me feel especially threatened. Also, if my team is set up for top-of-the-hill long range sniping, anything with short range is "safe".

Ever since my team got into the Heavy/Assault age I've never had to worry about CC weapons (CS/PX) since all the enemies I've encountered have been downed before they've reached me. Also, the further I get into this development, the more the RANGE of my weaponry seems to help my team to win battles with as little losses as possible. If there was no airdrops, I'd gladly use nothing but LRMs in Huge maps to score easy kills, but how boring would that be?

This will raise another topic. I do find it less challenging to fight if my primary weapon skill is exceeding 85%. If I play in a team of aces most of the enemies are disabled due to called hits, regardless of weight. Its good that I can easily give them a weight advantage. Best games are with AI a level lower and +30% weight.

To answer your question : I don't worry about AC4 and small LRM racks at long range and MG, small lasers and SRM at close. Why ? Because they do little damage. Sad enough my opponents don't just cram those weapons into their assault.

Hey, Larking (ducks)

I've got this support design with 2 PBs and 5 LRM6s (with at least 40 rounds per weapon) and Millenia. It fires really really fast. It's good that LRM6s don't scare you (rubs hands together).

The way looks to me is that any weapon can be pretty dangerous if the person on the other end of it is good. As Hetz said, if you're not scared of small LRMs, he's got a design with a bunch of LRM6s that fire really quickly, and would probably cut you up badly if you faced it. SLs are pretty weak, generally, but Prince Corrin's Gabriel design uses them pretty effectively.

It's not the weapon that's dangerous, it's the person using it.
At least, that's how I feel about it.

I think Larkin meant that if he had to choose (we're taling comparisons here), he'd choose the LRM6 - as opposed to choosing an LRM9 or 12. I know I'd prefer to face LRM6s than 12s. Regardless of who is firing it. The question was not about designs or players, it was about weapons.
Any design can cut you up badly, if you let it.

Well, true. :)

In that case, I'm least worried about small lasers and machine guns. By the time my opponents have gotten close enough to use either, they're probably severely messed up. In addition, neither of the two do enough damage to be instant threats - you need to sit and work at a titan with them to get through the armor.

I'm least frightened of small lasers. They just are so nothing.
