Our fifth game is about to start. This time you are about to see something different so that no one else have to do it again...

Here are optional rules.

Edited in 1939 N/D: Germany attacks USSR and leaves France alone (unless they do something very stupid). At some point Germany might attack France, but the idea is to test how bad Germany can hit USSR in early 1940 and how bad Allies can hit Germany when France does not collapse. I believe Allies will win, but I want to see how it happens.

One house rule in play, which is to simulate en-route interception.

Attacking planes can't fly through defending fighters on the way to target, without a chance of interception. The attacking player announces intention of a bombing mission and whether it will fly in range of defending fighters. If defending player wishes to intercept, attacking player attacks a target in range of fighters. If not, then target as normal. If attacking player can plot a course avoiding defending fighters (possibly by having to use extended range) then all well and good.

Having made such a Horlicks of the last game, I am playing Allies this time around. Mayhemizer has a little experiment he's considering (or maybe not as by setting up last, it could all be a bluff).

Surveying the bulk of the German army arranged around its borders, the Polish high command deploy their forces as below.

The French usually ultimately find their anti-tank assets more useful than their 2 point ART.

Germany and Japan land, Italy combined.

Germany sends fighter to North Sea box 2.

Italy sends TRS to Red Sea and picks up INF.

Japan ground strikes Tungkwan (3 factor bomber) and Chengchow (3+2).

Polish pilots thinks they are safe but Ju88 uses extented range (2+2) to prevent pilots leaving to UK.

Both Lodz (5) and Warsaw (5) take few bombs from Stukas.

Japanese attack is not much easier than before ground strikes...

Polish CA and CP are forced to rebase from Danzig. Where do they want to go? Do they move together or one by one as Germany can intercept them in North Sea.

Send them together, thanks. They'll make for one of the North Sea ports.

Germany rolls 8 and ships sails to Southampton (if this is not a good port, I will not intercept when they move next time).
