AI punishes stupid and careless strats

On a positive note, I intentionally left Danzig open and moved my fighters/tac bombers close to enemy units in the 1939 campaign to see how the AI would react. After pummeling the Polish forces on turn 1, the Poles turned around and took Danzig and attacked any air unit they could reach - they ended up scamming 16 mpp from the Germans with some aggressive counter moves.

I was impressed that the base AI did so, no advantages for it at all and I think that bodes well for the longevity of the game when "cheese" strats by the player are guarded against by basic AI competency.

100% certainty that I will buy this game on release based on that alone, I haven't even dug into the research and diplo parts of the game and this is a winner.

While Clash of Steel was the best "beer and pretzels" game I ever played, this looks to be that game plus a lot more room to maneuver and create - especially the naval portion.

What I liked about the original COS was that the AI would purse 1 of 3 paths to victory - Sealion, Mediterranean and Barbarossa.
