Naval extended movement/attack

Should naval units be allowed to attack after using its extended movement?
Somehow it doesn't look right, but they're able to attack after deselecting and selecting them again.
Don't know what the manual says because I haven't read it yet.

Do you mean the extra extra movement allotment they can do which uses up their supply and morale? I think that is the penalty for using it and then attacking. But not sure if we're thinking of same thing.

It is officially called Cruise mode, and :
providing it has a supply value of 5 or more it will be able to move double their normal movement distance but for the loss of 1 supply point. It will not be able to attack when doing this.

Yes the cruise mode, I felt too tired to look for the right words yesterday. And yes I can attack after making use of it, which as you have said I thought we couldn't do.
So it has to be a bug.

Hi rjh1971,
I've just tried to re-create this under v1.00.10b and was not able to repeat it, can you describe it in more detail (were you surprised, was this a specific unit type etc.) or and/or send me a saved turn where I can repeat the process?
Thanks,
Hubert

Hi Hubert, I'm going to send you a save (save_1), follow the next steps:
Select any of the German destroyers in Denmark
Move cruise them adjacent to the British sub in the Pas de Calais
Deselect the destroyer
Select it again and you're able to attack the sub, which shouldn't be the case.
If you load save_2 you can move cruise the Prinz Eugen from the St Malo port and attack the CV near Edinburgh and Rosyth following the same steps.
