must admit i never really gave this game much of a chance when i bought it, but after it sitting here for so long i've come back to it and really enjoyed it, a hidden Jewel and so glad i did, will now after go thorough them all as you appreciate stuff when you get a bit older it seems [;)]

It is a fantastic game. One I have put many hours into. It is my "go to" game when I get the itch to command Roman armies.

I just bought an old book "A short history of Rome to the death of Augustus" by J Wells. First published 1896.

It's made me want to play the AJE scenarios in date order.
