Will there be any cheat codes? I would love to see atleast things like increasing or decreasing your or the enemies MPP's and diplomatic percentages etc..

Wouldn't adjusting "cheat codes" spoil the fun?

imo not, as it gives the player the freedom to alter a give unit, make it better or worse as the users choice, while it may spoils others fun, they don't have to use them, myself i cheat in quite a few games, as for one i don't have the skill sometimes to always get past a certain or given level, and don't mind admitting it, i try my best but after a long time, i normal cheat to get past it, while some may so also that's bad or poor, as shortening the enjoyment of a given game, for me it lets me carry on playing it, other wise i would have maybe just given up, so on balance for some it's an option, as i never play online anyway, there's no harm in it.

as i'm only cheating the game and myself, but for me, in some games it gives me a what if type chance the same as an editor can do, as i also like to play with those as well and alter stuff, just for the fun of it, many games i've cheating in i still play, while those i didn't don't get used any more, so on balance i feel ok with it...

...cheat codes could interfere in multiplayer games. [;)]

normally any inbuilt codes don't work in multiplayer games / online

Imo cheats are very nice to use to balance scenarios in the later stages.
Also fun to just play around sometimes..

I like the challenge of not having them, and I asked for them years ago. SC seems like one of the few that resist our temptation to cheat.

A bigger variety of features is never bad. If you don't want to play with cheats simply don't use them.

I just think it would be nice since we can't edit files for saved games (which I think is a real shame)..
