I have ver 4.3b and am playing a long ww2 campaign as the germans in 39. in my second battle against the poles they used a plane to atttack my position. In an adjacent hex they dropped bombs and after all was said and done my motercycle units surrendered and the enemy was not even close. Was this just because the suppression was to great or is there a problem here?

Bo,bs from aircfaft and artillery shells causr damage and suppression in the hexes around the target hex. The larger the bomb/shell the farther the effects reach out from the target hex. So no there wasn't a problem it's supposed to be that way.

I realize the effects affect the other hexes I just don't understand why they surrendered and did not rout. This was not an isolated occurance it happened to 5 different motorcycle untis on different bombing runs and they all surrendered.

Apparently the surrender part of the code just looks at the enemy units in surrounding hexes regardless of level difference. Thus the bombing aircraft was an 'allowed' unit to surrender...btw, didn't hordes of Iraqis surrender to single attack choppers Image

I've seen Iraqi's surrender to unarmed remote phote planes in the Gulf War. Look at it this way. Your motorcycle units didn't surrender they just dispersed and went into hiding for the scenario. The default term for this is to surrender in the game.
