From experience I say go for it! You get to meet (though only virtually) lots of new people and it's fun! One word of advice though is if you can get one ort wo people onboard but make sure everybody knows their roles and how your going to operate. Also make sure to pick your companions wisely. It can actually get out of hand quickly and even ruin previously good online friendships! Get it right and it's great fun 100% of the time, get it wrong and it's stress 100% of the time!

Still if you want to start up a blog I say go for it! For those inclined you get some great contacts plus it's rewarding and confidence boosting when you here people enjoy reading it.
