Hi all. Great game! Yet I've just met a weird situation:

My troops are invading one planet with overwhelming strength and victory is certain. But the battle suddenly ends without any victory/defeat notification. And my troops join the garrison of the enemy planet.

I've tried many times and this will 100% happen. Plus, a conquered planet with about -70 happiness will defect to its original Empire quite soon every time EVEN IF it is defended by over 30 units of troops. A message will pop up saying there is a revolution happened on the planet and people seize power and join the other Empire. But why my troops and generals also join the enemy Empire without firing a single bullet?

I really love this game but I have to say it's game-broken experience for me. I have uploaded a save named "wolfjesus Nov.4 bug report". Hope you can check it soon. Thanks!

Plus, I play with AI Improvement Extended Mod 1.05 if that matters.

Hi wolfjesus. Yes, very frustrating. A negative 70 Happiness is pretty extreme, but should not result in your experience. I've had negative 68 and only had a rebellion.

It appears that in the past, this was a rather prevalent issue. I went through it myself. One of the last two patches to the game was suppose to correct this situation. As far as my experiences go, it did resolve it. Do you have the latest patch (1.9.5.12) for the original game downloaded and installed? The mod should not matter.
