I did Sealion and with diplomacy managed to push the USSR off to summer 1942.

When the USSR was at 77% I got the DE to build anti-tank units in the East. Maybe this should have a variable condition that the USSR is active or the wording of the DE doesn't sound right.

Just curious if anyone tries Sealion with the latest build how they will find the AI as I did end up doing quite a few tweaks to this one part of the game based on all the recent feedback here in the Beta forums and from the videos.

It was a little tougher for the Axis but still very do-able even on Veteran.

I have learned that if I drop a PARA in or near Norwich it completely un-hinges the Allied defense of the Southern coast and they move the corps out and a garrison unit into Portsmouth.

One turn of air attacks and a second PARA and the Axis have a port. It's just a matter of force after that.

Agreed. Though a human can do a Sea Lion the AI will never execute a successful one because it is focused on London and ignores the other Southern ports.

If I can ask, how much further did you proceed after the initial landings and what was the US and USSR reaction like this time around?

The USA responded aggressively and DOWd me after several turns. The USSR initially jumped in activation but I went hard on diplomacy and managed to keep them low until spring of 1942. I had probably spent 1500 mpps on chits and got lucky rolls.

Once London falls it's just a matter of killing 2 or 3 units per turn and I had Manchester in summer 1941. After that the AI does not set up a new defence of Scotland.

I did notice that in late 1944 after repulsing consecutive waves of US landings in Cornwall and southern Wales the U.K. had a dozen corps in Canada doing absolutely nothing. If they had landed in Scotland at the same time as the US landings I would have had a real problem.

Thanks David, can you tell me what version number you were playing? Just asking as the GM v1.00 should be playing a bit differently.
