No multiplayer

Germany At War: Operation Barbarossa 1941 is an elegant turn-based design, inspired by classics such as Panzer General, but with more of a historical focus. You command the German forces through a branching historical campaign covering the entire 1941 campaign as well as part of the 1942 campaign. Dozens of scenarios stretch from the Soviet border all the way to Archangel and towards Astrakhan, the original military goals of Operation Barbarossa. Step into a wargame where your performance will rewrite history, through an addictive combination of compelling gameplay, realistic events and challenging battles.

No multiplayer

Post by Red2112 »

Greetings,

On my install the option for multiplayer is grayed out. Any reason for that? Iam on Windows 10, everything else seem to work fine, all thought I did find it strange that on install it did not creat a file in my Matrix directory.

Care,

either it's your patch status being too low, so you need to update to the latest version, or you need an account at Slitherine for PBEM and need one making first

Thanks for your reply Zakblood,

Yes Iam up to date with recent patch and I do have a Slitherine account.

Iam playing a PBEM++ Flashpoint Campaigns mission at the moment with a buddy.

Hi Red2112,

if you hover over the gray multiplayer button you should get a tooltip that says what the game thinks is wrong.

Could you tell me the message that pops up on your machine ?

Hi Red2112,

"This means something with your serial number is wrong and it cannot be traced by the game.
To reinstall the game should resolve this."

Hi Ronald W.

Well I did try this in the past but I would think there´s more then one issue with GaW...

First:
- The installer dose not create a instalation file (it´s a blank path) see jpg...
Image

Second:
There´s no way to uninstall the game unless you delete files manualy see jpg...
Image

On inicial install I decided to install the game in my "Matrix Games" directory as you can tell by the above jpg. but as I said before, the game dose not create/find a path to install it´s self which i don´t see normal.

These are the 2 install files downloaded from my Matrix/Slitherine account...
Image

Please be so kind to advise how to solve these issues. Game works well except multiplayer.

Regards,

seems you more than one issue with the game atm, for me have you updated to a later version of window by any chance?

as it seems you are missing the uninstaller as well, so manually deleting the folder could still give you registry errors as well, as your path should be auto once the base game has been installed, which it now hasn't[:(]

http://www.matrixgames.com/support/

as also you only need to install the latest patch when doing a fresh install as all updates are inclusive so if you use the latest one, the older one aren't needed.

support will advice, as for me you don't like you said have just the one error, good luck
