Eastern Poland - POSSIBLE BUG

Its December 1939. The Soviets have annexed Eastern Poland but I cannot move my Soviet units into the area. Furthermore a German unit has 'captured' Lvov. Is this WAD?
Thanks anybody who can assist

From what you describe in your AAR, like Poland still getting MPP, Germans advancing into Lvov, it seems Poland has not yet surrendered. That looks like a big bug you have encountered. By now their morale should be zero and they should have surrendered.

Come to think of it I can recall no actual announcement to the effect Poland has been conquered. Every Polish unit was destroyed and Warsaw taken. The Polish symbol still appears in the top left hand corner. I've switched sides so I can see what is happening in Poland. German troops seem to be building on the western borders. This picture confirms that there are no Polish units left and Warsaw is German. There is one German corps moving around Lvov and environs.
As said I also cannot move Soviet units into Eastern Poland. I definitely ordered the Soviets to move into Eastern Poland because I got the message pop up about plummeting Polish Morale as result. I did not then actually move Soviet units into the territory as the message said the AI would take care of that. Should I have done so? Does the program think the Soviet invasion has lapsed because I did not actually move a unit in there?
So two potential issues here. Can someone help please?

There are some events that cover this part. It looks to me like something hasn't triggered (yet), or...
There's also a possibility you got one of the events below and told the Russians to go get some vodka in Moscow. [:D]
I'm sure Bill can tell you what's wrong as he's the script master.
#NAME= DE 406 - USSR: Order the Red Army to advance into Poland? #POPUP= Red Army Headquarters %N%NNow that the German invasion of Poland is well underway, it is important that we do not show weakness and let the Germans gain the whole country. %N%NIt is therefore important that we fulfil our side of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact by marching into Poland, even though it will cause some slight harm to our relationship with the UK and France. %N%NWould you like to order the Red Army to prepare to advance into Poland?

Thanks - it was DE406 I saw and I answered yes to. I hope Bill sees this and responds soon as this is incredibly frustrating.

Hi warspite1
The Soviet advance into Poland is not something you can do yourself, but when Poland surrenders and if the Germans agree to honor the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, then the USSR will gain eastern Poland. So everything is contingent on it surrendering.
From reading your AAR thread and looking at the image above, it seems that Poland has lost Warsaw but hasn't actually surrendered.
If in your turn you can still see Poland in your Purchase and Research screen then that will indeed be the case.
If so, can you please let me know if there are any Polish units still in play, and what is Poland's National Morale level?
Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill as per your request:
- There are no Polish units on the map.
- Poland's NM is 0/7,500 (0%)
Mobilisation 100%
Industrial Modifier 50%
Beligerence - Germany & Minors
MPP = 54

You can't move Russian units into Poland as long as Poland is still a nation on the map. The whole thing happens more or less virtually.
From what I see on your screenshot Poland is still at War.
I remember from your AAR that you refused to honor secret part of the Hitler-Stalin, at least that was my interpretation of the "i'll risk that / two front" remark.
ORIGINAL: warspite1
The Soviets also have a decision. Does Stalin want to invoke the secret protocols of the Nazi-Soviet Pact and invade Eastern Poland?
Apparently if we say yes the Germans may not honour their side of the NS Pact.
Well I think I will risk that. If Adolf wants a war on two fronts good luck to him....
DE 406 – USSR: Order the Red Army to advance
into Poland?
Event fires: When the USSR is politically aligned
with the Allies but not fully mobilized, Poland is
Allied and has not surrendered, Berlin is in Axis
hands and an Axis unit is within 2 hexes of either
Warsaw, Lwow, Lublin or Kutno.
Cost of accepting: Nothing.
Yes: Providing Germany honors the Molotov-
Ribbentrop Pact, when Poland surrenders the
USSR will gain territory in Poland, thus increasing
the distance a future German invasion of the
USSR will have to advance. It will also provide the
USSR with the fortified Towns of Brest-Litovsk
and Przemysl, with Garrisons to defend them,
and income from the city of Lwow. The USSR will
swing 5% towards the Allies, and Polish National
Morale will fall by 2,500 points as news of the
Soviet invasion spreads throughout Poland.
No: Germany will gain all of Poland when the
country surrenders, and this would prove a very
useful jumping off point for their future invasion
of the USSR. Germany will also still receive food
supplies from the Ukraine.
Notes:
1. This advance is handled by the game engine,
so the USSR will not actually be at war with
Poland, nor will actual units move into the
country.
2. The final location of the frontier is also
contingent on Germany honoring the
Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, and on the
outcome of negotiations to revise the Borders
and Friendship Treaty. See DE 412 and DE
600 for further details.
3. The deployment locations of Soviet forces in
the western USSR when they enter the war
will be determined by this decision as well as
by DE 600.
So if you have answered No instead of YES

If Adolf wants a war on two fronts good luck to him....
poland could still be undefeated, only to fall later completely into the Huns hands.
