supported windows 10 right out of the box on latest update, full screen as shown, which is my max settings anyway, only issue is slight and that is more random than not, is alt tabbing in and out of game can make screen go pink for a few seconds, so when i didn't use it and just tested and stayed in game, had no issues what so ever.

Can't get the game to open after clicking PLAY with latest windows 10. Altered compatibility settings no luck still. Suggestion?

check firewall and anti virus log files, so see if either has stopped any files or process from running, make sure you install all of the pre requisites which come with the game and are needed etc

Image

some older games need windows 10 to be more backwards compatible, and so does come with all the files which older versions of windows and games need, so just need to be turned on

just tried with Windows

10 Home Single Language 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134) (17134.rs4_release.180410-1804)

with no issues

Image

as each game when made needs a given version of a given file, playing older games on window 10 means quite a few of the same files need to be loaded, as having the latest doesn't mean it will work out of the box, without running the pre requisites which come with the given game

other stuff which is added to windows 10, can make some games not work at all, and while they do nothing for games even modern ones, can be safely disabled and make older games work better

again while it's not maybe an issue with this game, some game like media player codex's to be installed, so windows media player needs to be installed, and while windows 10 has it, it's not enabled by default either

none of these above will alter or cause any issue with newer games either, and while this game won't need them all, doing them doesn't take 5 mins and tbh will make all the older games work better.

i use windows 10 to play DOS games, so yes it's a great O/S and more game friendly than any other imo.

and while it comes with Direct X 12 even, you still have to load DirectX 9c to make older games work

again, not a windows 10 of game issue, it's just how software works, the latest doesn't always have all the older files in them either.

my other tip is, always log in to your support account here in the member section and make sure you have the latest installer and update, so only the 2 files etc, and use them, not older version which some keep, as the latest one is the one i test with, or try to, then just have the latest patch and always check for updates to make fully sure the version run, is the latest one, even if it's a beta one, then i know for sure it's as bug free as it can be,...

good luck and hope it works for you, as so far you're the only one to post which is hasn't helped
