Robert vs Alex (no A game please)

For some time I was considering to start either WitE or WitP game. Handling 3 Wite games +1 is far more manageable than 3x WitE + WitP therefore I decided to start yet another WitE game.
Weird but in none of the games is currently my turn so I decided to start an AAR to kill some time.
Opponent is
A game (Axis), I took the reds.
Settings:
GC41-45 Bitter End
Server game
Full FoW
Random weather
Mild Blizzard and +1 Soviet attack bonus
House Rules:
Historical plausible play
No paradorps
No suicide runs far behind lines with single division to get industry

Turn 1 - 22.6.-25.6.1941
I will run the AAR with few turns delay. Currently we are only in T2 so screens will come later.
Axis opening was decent with no chance to open any pocket. From my point of view only 2 things were not optimal.
First it low number of destroyed Soviet planes(2500+). This is probably for the first time I did not send the whole Red Airforce to reserve just the depleted and low morale groups. As a result my airforce is active from day one. Did few bombings nothing big but maybe on Axis T2 my fighters will be able to catch some careless Axis bombers.
Turn 1 air losses.

Isn't the low air loss attributed to a bug in the just released patch. I believe Morvael is to fix this from a post in RE: Public Beta v1.09.01 is Now Available! Dated 11/26/16 quote, "This will be fixed, but I'm waiting a few days to see if there will be some other bugs reported. So far this is the only one." I'm assuming "This" is the bombing of airbases on the first turn since the post before his post was referencing base bombing.

I forgot about the possible bug however I've checked the attacks and he did not bother to launch many.

Currently T4, just posting T1 situation. I've been busy last couple of days.

T1 - North
The second thing what I think was a mistake is conservative Axis approach in North. Ignoring Riga could be a mistake especially when it looks Axis are repairing the Riga rail line. Defenders of Riga were reinforced by 1 rifle brigade and 1 battered rifle division(under 4k men). Defense CV is currently 49 but I expect next turn more after the unready division will get reinforcement.
On T1 I usually do not defend the swamps around Polotsk but position of 4th Panzer Group may indicate thats the place where they will strike and the usual drive to Pskov won't take place.

T1 - Center
In the center I placed two very weak lines. Purpose of Berezina line is to slow Panzers enough to prevent Dneper crossing on T2 and/or losing the Landbridge.

T1 - South
At least one Panzer group has been diverted to south and enabled decent Lvov pocket. Road to Kiev is basically open now. With the low MPs nothing could have been done here.
btw. I really can't understand why the strong 57th Tank division is frozen. My opinion is it should be automatically unfrozen when there is Axis unit within 5 hexes.

Turn 2 - 26.6.-2.7.1941
Luckily no nasty surprise however I made an epic blunder on T1. I forgot that many formation are starting the war with max TOE well below 100%.

Well that actually was a nasty surprise [:D]
North
Panzers went for Pskov and crossed Velikaya river. I decided to hold the line because 4th Panzer Gruppe hasn't been reinforced and should be low on fuel.
I have noticed that Germans stopped repairing the rail towards Riga.

Turn 2 - 26.6.-2.7.1941
Center
Panzers didn't reach Landbridge nor Dneper. Good for Stalin. This turn it was probably the quietest sector.

Turn 2 - 26.6.-2.7.1941
South
The good news is that I was able to open the infamous Lvov pocket. The bad news is that 2 Panzer Korps from AGC were diverted to the South. Could not see any other option here than employing
Brave Sir Robin

I ran a few tests and seems it does become unfrozen when units within a certain distance. I tried on AltVC260 and regular campaign and the 57 has unfrozen both time with units close.

The 57th is unfrozen when a German unit is 3 hexes or less.

Turn 3 - 3.7.-9.7.1941
Industry evacuation is beginning. Following factories were moved:
Dnepropetrovsk 16x Arms
Mogilev 3x Arms & 3x HI
Kharkov 1x T-34
North
Situation is the same as last week, axis have gained only few hexes. Riga seems to be completely ignored. Started to dig trenches at the Luga line, this will be the next defense position after Pskov.

Center
Landbridge is under attack but not breakthrough yet. On Berezina river recon spotted concentration of Panzers which is most probably HQ Buildup.

Turn 3 - 3.7.-9.7.1941
South
1st Panzer gruppe did a solid job and encircled 10 divisions. Not a game changer but among others 2 high morale(55) Rifle divisions and 2 decent Tank divisions are lost. But not this week! I launched 3 counter attacks to open to pocket and cut off 8 divisions + GD regiment. Notice the 2 hasty attacks from inside to pocket that managed to cut off the spearhead(this was possible only because the 1:1 = 2:1).

Turn 4 - 10.7.-16.7.1941
Pavlov has been executed and Zukov takes command of Western Front. I am not happy with that decision as I wanted Zukov to take STAVKA after all major pockets will be cleared.
Industry evacuation:
Kiev 4 Arms & 4 HI
Kirovograd 3 Arms & 3 HI
Leningrad 6 Vehicles & 1x T-50
Finns joined the invasion. It looks most of the units can be saved.

Turn 4 - 10.7.-16.7.1941
North
I left 2 Rifle divisions in Pskov and retreated to Luga. Panzers have been most probably refueled and I need to avoid any major pocket here.

Turn 4 - 10.7.-16.7.1941
Center
Again 2 Rifle divisions left to their's fate in Vitebsk and rest is retreating to Smolensk. I decided to hold Dneper but this gives an opportunity for pocket therefore empty airbase has been positioned in potential pocket area for airsupply.
