Motorised battlegroups
The 1941 motorised divisions are brigade size except for motorised elite divisions that you only see in two scenarios, Lvov and Riga. So if you need a strong motorised force you may disband one division and upgrade the other one to a full dviision naming it "Battlegroup" or "Kampfgruppe". After all, two brigades can act as one battlegroup under one commander. If you need to tqke q heqvliy fortified city one strong force is better than two weak ones. It is also less vulnerable for counter-attacks. The enemy knows his its tactics and a weakened unit on the front line is quickly destroyed.
