Air Battle Over Java AAR

So, I decided to give this scenario a go. With all the updates since the scenario's introduction early last year, I wanted to see if it was more pleasant. It was-the tanker ops were smooth (the only issue was a loadout one with the tankers not liking lo-lo-hi loadouts, switching to hi lo hi profile ones and the F-111 strikes went smoothly).
Set up the AEW, tankers, and Tornado F3 patrols. The Winchester updates worked well too-I set it so the CAP units would remain on station and fight to the last missile because I feared having my strikers get caught off guard. That did not happen. I lost an F3 and Hornet in air combat, but obliterated the TNI-AU. The occasional straggler got a missile.
After that, it was repeated strikes on the base. These I found passed the point of diminishing returns pretty quickly. I was losing more strikers to AAA than I felt comfortable with (in-story justification could be that the crews were extra-alerted after the constant battle), and the accuracy drop when I set them to attack with their unguided bombs at high altitude was also too much. So, I called off remaining strikes even when there was some time left in the scenario and then ran out the clock-all the vital targets had already been hit. Good scenario, and the updates since then made it even better to play. My ace-proficiency F.3 was shot down, showing that skill only takes you so far.
