Hey,

I'm also having troubles with DW on my windows 10 PC
The game freezes and crashes when the loading screen is done loading and the game goes to full screen -> start menu
I've never seen the starting screen

- Reinstalled several times
- tried launching the game on several different ways (Steam, Admin, C:...)
- manual installed Direct9.0 and netframe 4.0
- disabled intro
- installed Windows media player

Ran already DXdiag
Any advice/help?

i got it finaly running
- Edited: startup.ini (playmovie 1 to 0)
- ran right-click windows-compatibility on C:steamapps -> distant worlds.Exe it self

now it works [&o] but only starting from C: / not from steam
